About Me

Hi there,

Thanks for checking out my blog! I created “Nashville Dog Mom” as a narrative dog-lifestyle blog to journal day-to-day life with our three rescued dogs (you can meet them here), as well as to share pet products we love, pet-friendly travel, dog-friendly events and news, inspiring stories and more.

All of my life, I have been passionate about animal rescue and writing. For years, I worked as a freelance writer for national pet and travel magazines. Then, in 2006, I merged my passions for pets and the written word to create Nashville Paw Magazine, Middle Tennessee’s community pet publication celebrating the pet lifestyle and supporting animal rescue and welfare. Our magazine reaches 50,000 readers in print and online each issue, in addition to connecting with a social media network of nearly 18,000 pet lovers and an email list of nearly 8,000 subscribers. Meanwhile, the community festivals and events we host annually attract thousands of guests and their pooch pals.

I’m also very proud that my magazine helps to raise more than $25,000 for local spay and neuter each year through our Art for Animals event, and that we donate more than $10,000 in advertising and media promotion to local animal rescue and welfare organizations each year. We also donate $10 of every magazine subscription to that issue’s featured rescue group.

As the publisher of Nashville Paw, this blog – while of a more personal nature than most of our magazine content – is still an extension of my magazine, and as such taps into our existing readership as well as connecting with new readers from all across the country. All of these blog posts are also shared to our magazine network via email and social media.

So, whether you’ve been connecting with me for years through the magazine, or are a new reader who has come directly to the blog, thank you for spending some time with our pups and I. I am truly grateful to have you here!

I hope you enjoy the blog, and if you have not already, I hope you’ll also check out my magazine at NashvillePaw.com.

You can find me on Twitter at @NashvilleDogMom and @NashvillePaw, and you’ll also find Nashville Paw magazine on Facebook, Instagram and Pintrest. You can also learn more about me here.

P.S. Feel free to leave comments on my blog posts, and always feel free to drop me a line at info@nashvillepaw.com.

Woofs + Wags,

A Note About this Blog:
This blog is a personal journal of my own experience with our dogs, including products that we love, places we enjoy going, helpful wellness tips and more. No part of this blog is ever intended to be taken as expert advice, and if in doubt, you should always consult with your veterinarian before changing your diet, adding in new physical activities, etc. Also, from time to time, I may post content that is sponsored by pet companies and brands. In these cases, the blog post will clearly state that I have received some form of compensation from the company to include them in my blog. (This may be monetary or in the form of free product to try out.) However, all content posted to my blog expresses my true and honest opinions and I only share pet products and services that I truly believe in, have reviewed and/or use with my own dogs and that I think may be helpful for my readers. Simply put, if it’s not something I believe in and am passionate about, you won’t find it on my blog! If you ever have a question, feel free to shoot me an email at info@nashvillepaw.com.

A Note to Brands:
Please click to the Work with Me page for more info on our site traffic, audience reach and ways that we may be able to work together to share grrreat things with dogs and dog lovers!

    1. Thanks Bernard! That’s because it was not ready yet as of BlogPaws… it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and “never got around to it”… and BlogPaws inspired me to go ahead and get it live. Hope you enjoy! :>
